The main market activities of APG as a TSO are the procurement of energy for grid losses and for unintentional deviation and the procurement of balancing reserves. These activities are currently managed by a customized IT-system . On the other hand the tasks of risk management for the grid losses are covered by another IT-system. Both systems are having several interfaces to other external and internal IT-systems.Both systems have been working for approximately 10 years and were steadily adapted to new market regulations. Over the years these developments lead continuously to a lack of performance and usability. This leads to the procurement of new IT-systems which are able to cover the existing and also the future requirements of market activities of APG.
